“Douglas College is pleased to announce Rella Ng has been appointed as the institution’s new registrar.
Ng has more than 16 years of experience in higher education, having previously held senior positions at Simon Fraser University and the University of B.C.
“Rella is an excellent addition to Douglas College because of her strong leadership background, her commitment to improving the student experience and her comprehensive understanding of the B.C. post-secondary system. We look forward to the contributions she will make in her new role at Douglas College,” says Sarah Dench, associate vice president, academic and student affairs at Douglas College.
Ng joins Douglas College after more than five years as associate registrar at Simon Fraser University. While there, she provided strategic leadership related to student information, records and registration at all of the university’s campuses. Before that, she served at the University of B.C. as manager of registration services and in roles in the student financial assistance and awards office.
Ng holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of B.C.”
